Free Guided Meditation with Cynthia Henebry
Thursdays: 6:00 - 6:45 pm
Meditation is the art of allowing things to be exactly as they are— resting the mind, and increasing awareness. This ongoing class is to for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. There will be 30 minutes of guided practice, and 15 minutes for questions and sharing of experience.
Props including chairs, meditation cushions, and blankets are available so that each individual can create a comfortable seat. Please arrive 10 minutes early for set up.
Free Silent Meditation
20 minute silent meditation for students with an existing practice or students simply interested in practicing the art of sitting in silence; a bell will ring to mark the beginning and end of the sit. Please arrive on time and plan on staying for the duration of the sit. Please do not enter the room after the door is shut. Everyone is welcome and this meditation is free. An immersion into the study of the inner self. Each week begins with a 30 minute guided meditation followed by a group discussion based on weekly readings from the assigned book. Students will use ideas/concepts from the book as a framework for working with direct experiences that occur in their daily lives. The Meditation Study Groups run in approximately 3 month increments with the intention of a continuation in January 2020.

In a world steeped in busyness and distraction, stillness has become a luxury.This is an opportunity to learn how to let go and connect with the inherent stillness that resides inside each of us. Through a combination of breath and body awareness, guided meditation, and restorative yoga postures, this class will promote a deep sense of relaxation and balance.
Suitable for anyone feeling stressed, anxious or just seeking the space to be still.
